design idea... ankle length a-line skirt, black cotton or similar, reflective tape in lines from waist to floor, would form "sunburst" pattern seen from above in circular formation. perhaps graduated rays?
It's the view of the skirt when seen from the front... a diagonal from waist to floor, so that the floor circumference is bigger than the waist (as opposed to "pencil" or straight down), but still flat at the waist, rather than pleated or anything. It looks sort of like a trapezoid or letter "A" shape. Hence, A-line.
