Me, on skimming one of the electronics advertising bits in the paper today: "I'm curious about their notions of what a 'last-minute gift idea' is. Perhaps a $99.99 DVD player is a 'last-minute gift idea', but I think a $2700 TV deserves some planning."

Weird thought #25: I think The Phantasticks would be a neat band name.

*laugh* Good point on the last minute gift idea. Maybe that's the point, though. If you buy a $2700 TV it looks like you've given it thought? (Until you can't pay the bill, of course. =P)
