Anyone feel like maybe Stiletto (still real iffy on that) tonight or Diskotech Nekromantica tomorrow? I'm also vaguely interested in Darkest Hour (although I think it's probably too heavy for my tastes), Tokyo Electric (probably too electronic for others' tastes), and Flesh and Steel, which is a new club opening tonight.

"Certain police authorities have special procedures for obstaining police certificates/clearances. They are the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RMCP) [err... that name doesn't match that acronym.. isn't it RCMP?] and the Royal Hong Kong Police (RHKP). Do not request a police certificate from Hong Kong, the United States or Canada until you are instructed to do so by a visa office."

Suuuure, NOW I realize that the third sentence contains an extra element that the second one does not: the United States. I read RCMP and RHKP and skipped right past the rest of it, thinking it didn't apply since I was neither in Canada nor Hong Kong. Oh well. So I sent in something that wasn't necessary. Worst that will happen is that I will have to do it again, because the certificate is only good for six months - it's already expired, in fact - so by the time they want to assess me, they'll need another. Good thing I've been hanging on to that other set of fingerprints I had done at the same time.

Air New Zealand planes painted up with Lord of the Rings scenes. Neatcake. Click on "More: Air New Zealand" underneath to search out some more of them, in other views, etc.

Viewer: So what's the deal with Bender's chest? Does he have like a futuristic robot bag of holding or something?
Adult Swim: The fact that we knew and laughed at the phrase "futuristic bag of holding" has made us infinitely ashamed. We must now go and atone for our nerdom.

In other news, WHAT THE FUCK IS UP WITH THOSE "EXTRA" GUM COMMERCIALS WITH THE ANIMATED PINK STICK OF GUM WITH A SCOTTISH ACCENT THAT GOES PARACHUTING???

In still other news, why is it, if a car is a metaphor for the penis and/or for sex in general, that none of the jerks driving fast penises are ever content to be behind me? You'd think if they have those sorts of issues, they certainly wouldn't want me behind them...

I knew the quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog. But I didn't know five boxing wizards mop quickly, daft jumping zebras vex quickly, playing jazz chords quickly excites my wife, nor box up my pangrams with five dozen liqueurs, Jack.

Does anyone happen to have (or know where I can get) a larger-pixel-size version of <--- that? Like, say, at least 100x100 or so, so it would print out well?
