(no subject)

New userpic, btw. This is from a picture taken from a small gathering at Skyline Park in um... 2002? Something. Anyway amberite was there too, and er... kiala and glitterychaos and some other people whom I don't know if they're LJ-enabled or not. We were out sitting among the many redwoods there near the creek behind the camping area (you know, where you're probably not supposed to go). I've been back there on several recent occasions trying to build up a relationship with the locals (the invisible sort, that is). Every time I go I'm supposed to bring a gift of silver for the creek. Fortunately, I have a bunch of silver coins (both old US coins, and some decorative ".999 fine silver" types) which I had been saving up for just this kind of purpose, although sometimes it's been jewelry.

I really should go to sleep. I need to be at work at 11:30 tomorrow. Of course, next week, because of our shortened hours, I need to start being there at 10:30 (ugh) and this Friday I need to be there at about 8:30 to be in time for the District opening day crap (double ugh, or in fact something like septuple ugh).

Dear gods, I might actually have a use for the fact that holiday cards tend to come in dozens!
