This is a bloody early hour of the morning to be not only awake, but already at work for 5 minutes. Now I get to go have bad coffee and probably ignore the pastries and then listen to some boring speechin' for two and a half hours after that, and then be offered a slightly scary lunch. (Actually, sometimes the speakers are pretty good, and the new president seems like an interesting guy, from what I could tell about him from his visit to our division meeting yesterday, but still.)

Sep. 17th, 2004 06:05 pmSorting through my bookshelves last night to see if there was anything else I wanted to get rid of, I came across an issue of the Compleat Anachronist (a series of booklets published in the SCA by various people on various topics) which dealt briefly with the Welsh language. In the appendix where it gave suggestions for period names (both given and by-names), I came across the word Madyn, which is apparently one possible word for "fox". I'm getting a funny tingling that this could be a name for me, but then, I always tend to think that with possible names for like, two weeks, until the glow wears off. :p
