"You know, I'm really starting to think these folks think words are just a series of sounds bereft of meaning." (http://www.notwithoutmyhandbag.com/babynames/5.html , somewhere nearish the bottom)
Well.. not "bereft of meaning", but maybe having different meaning than the standard? (Then again, surmounting an established meaning is something else again.)

baxil's journal today and found a survey for evaluating whether one's RPG character was reasonably original or not, and one of the criteria was whether its name contained certain (common) elements: moon, rain, fire... Anyway, judging by that, a name such as "ivy nightseed" (let's never mind how ridiculous it sounds on its own) would lose mass points. And even though I don't necessarily set store by such, I figure that it's a reasonable gauge of how "others in general" would perceive such a name. I definitely don't want to be thought of as "cheesy" (especially since I'm already at a disadvantage because of... various things).
