Something on The Daily Show tonight, in the context of how people often emerge to say this or that person accused of rape or murder "couldn't have done it, they were so nice!", was like, "There's the you other people know, and then (slight pause for comedic effect) there's the you your search history knows." My thought was actually that that's not really the same as the "private me" (although it is, I suppose, different from any of the consciously presented public me's). But anyway, just for a lark I decided to see what Google had on recent file for me for each letter of the alphabet in searches.
