well, i was actually more thinking back to your post about wishing you had meaningful dreams instead of just random boy-kissing deams...Cassandra was a reference to a tragic figure of Greek literature who was curesd always to know the future but never to be believed.
so twas just me being esoteric. sorry for any confusion. :)
Most of what I know of it, I got from my seminar class last semester, reading the play "Agamemnon" and other such things. She was a priestess of Apollo in Troy. Apollo, God of Truth among other things (light, music, etc), gave her the gift of prescience. She eventually repudiated him, I forget the details, and so he cursed her by having nobody ever believe what she uttered. She was captured by Agamemnon and brought to his homeland, where Clytaemnestra, his wife, killed the both of them. Long story, I shall elaborate there if you want to know more. :)
