The states in which I have spent any reasonable amount of time (at least a full day) are California (duh, like, I live there and stuff), Oregon, Pennsylvania, New York, and of course weeks on end (and weekends on end) in the non-state Ontario.
Maryland, Nevada, New Jersey, and West Virginia were all briefly visited (a few hours) or just driven through. I've been through a tiny, tiny spot of Virginia at the point where Maryland is like 2 miles wide, so what the heck, it's a technicality.
Arizona, Minnesota, and DC were all only visited by virtue of being in the Phoenix Sky Harbor, Minneapolis-St.Paul and Reagan National airports, respectively. (Reagan was actually a fluke - I was supposed to be going to Baltimore, but I missed the connection and got put on a plane to DC instead.)
I've flown over an additional number of states by virtues of the cross-country routes I've been on to Toronto, New York and DC either direct or by the aforementioned Phoenix and Minneapolis-St Paul, but I didn't count those. I have no plans to be on the ground in Nebraska any time soon, anyway. ;)
