I guess you're probably going to turn out to be right, enotsola: Blu-ray is likely going to win the format war. That ought to soothe that wound Sony has been licking since the demise of Betamax.

The format war ended when the first dual-format players came on the market. The reality is, by the time most people are ready to buy them, the dual-format players will be under $300.

Orly? *shrug* We in this household are not, how you say, early adopters. So really it would have been irrelevant to us anyway, because by the time we would have gotten on any wagon, the choice would have been made ages before.
