Just tried to do a lap around the perimeter of campus somewhere under my 30-minute lunch time. (Should be easy since I figure it's got to be only a mile or a mile and a half tops, but I haven't checked.) My endurance is up to it (though I would have liked some water) but boy, my shins are not. Need to work up to it. Only made it about 2/3 of the way around before going "ow, ow, ow" became too much. Might want better shoes, too, although my feet feel fine.
edit: Point to point from 85/Stevens Creek -> Stevens Creek/Stelling -> Stelling/McClellan -> McClellan/85 (from overhead viewpoint, anyway) -> 85/Stevens Creek is about 1.83 miles. Since you can't really walk right along the freeway but instead have to be on the perimeter campus paths and such, I figure a full lap might be 1.75 miles.
