The vending machine ate my granola bar! I saw it drop but when I pushed down on the little rotating door thing, it was gone! And I can't figure out how it could have slipped into some other space somehow. I think someone needs to give it a stern talking-to and inform it that when I put money in, I am the one who is supposed to eat the granola bar, not it.

Our work vending machine isn't really a vending machine, it's one of those things from the amusement arcades that may or may not give you a "prize" when you feed money into it. I have also discovered that the chance of finding someone to give me a refund if the vend fails, is practically zero.

We have one of those too where I work! The thing is, though, mine never caused a candybar to disappear, it just refuses to deliver them sometimes. I wonder who got tass's granola bar!

Maybe vending machines are like dryers, and there are wormholes inside them through which small objects (such as socks and granola bars) can disappear.

There's a lot of laundry in the world. In fact, there may be laundry going on right now, maybe even in your home town!
