My boss insists that we do a MySpace unit in our library's "2.0" pilot project. This means I have to get a MySpace account (albeit for work purposes ["I had meant it to be for peaceful purposes only, but then you came along, and-- oh ho hoho ha ha!"]). Kill me now?

I understand the woe. While I believe that MySpace is 50% more evil than facebook, I've been having to use facebook for my work...

Nah, I won't kill ya, but I may friend you.....>:).....seriously, I hardly ever spend much time there compared to here, but I still maintain it to keep in touch with friends and my sister (even though she lives in the same house). The friendspam is horrible and I hate having to log in every time, but I suppose it has its uses for good. Possibly.

Get a separate account for work and only associate it with work. :/ That's my suggestion.

I thought that's what you were getting at, but I wasn't sure. :/ If anything, if a workplace gets a MySpace it brings them down about two notches in my opinion. I definately take them less seriously, for sure.

On the bright side, at least from my experence anyway, the Myspace server crashes at least every 15mins. (or so it seems to me) So if you don't feel like posting you can always blame them.
