exciting plans for this week

Monday: Get maps, money and stuff together for the upcoming drive in enemy unfamiliar territory.
Tuesday: Stop at the drugstore. Do some laundry.
Wednesday: Do more laundry. (Not that I have all that much to do, but the sink drain needs cleaning, so large loads are out at the moment.) Pack (because I hate packing the night before an early flight).
Thursday: Shower.
Friday: Get up just after* the screaming crack of dawn (actually... this is June... so ~6:15 AM is well after the crack, but still with the screaming) to get on a plane to Portland. Be annoyed with the way my hair will be wavy from tying it down the night before and I don't have time to iron it, but if it's likely to be raining in that neck of the woods (and current predictions are for "chance of showers", big surprise), it won't make any difference as I'll be a frizzball once I get off the plane anyway.


* -- "Just before the..." having been the time I got up to get on a plane to Houston a month ago, you see.

The drive is really easy once you find your way to I-5.

I figured the hardest part would be getting out of the airport, but don't forget I am also making grocery and liquor store stops in Chehalis, and rather than blunder about aimlessly, I went to the trouble of looking up actual street addresses to go to, which meant needing specific directions to them (not that Chehalis is that big of a town).

Yeah, the forecast for Chehalis WA is 50% chance of precipitation on Friday and a vague "chance of showers" for Friday through Monday (too soon for better forecasting I suppose). A brief look at Portland OR looks similar right now. *shrug* As long as it's not pouring, I'll be happy, since we have an indoor cabin space.
