Y'all will probably want to take a mo' to go to http://www.livejournal.com/manage/settings/ and turn off the adult content filtering which is now on and set to "moderate" by default. It's at the bottom of the page.
Beats me. I haven't delved into it that deeply. I would assume that if one is an adult, one would want to see all adult content without any filtering, but maybe you don't.
Thanks!! I don't need LJ to assume I'm a child and therefore need to be moderated, which they apparently have done (assuming that parents aren't capable of doing this themselves).
I read some of the comments yesterday... I was not amused...
I think assuming everyone was underage was the conservative choice for a default, which makes sense in a CYA context. I don't have a problem with that (although I do have a problem that this exists at all, as should be apparent!). Hence the lack of vitriol in this post. Although I must say my first thought on your reply was "ph33r my Listari wrath!" but then I thought again... well.. is there so much of that? As opposed to subtle undermining? ;)
