Disneyland was pretty good except for the part where [livejournal.com profile] enotsola and I both brought home colds and he got sunburned on one side of his neck. We managed to do almost everything we wanted to do, including eat at the Blue Bayou (probably the single most expensive meal I have ever purchased), although with two parks there now, even three days is barely enough. I was actually a little disappointed by California Adventure. Maybe it's that it's too new and "fresh" (not to mention doesn't have mature landscaping yet), but there was something missing. It didn't have that same "make-believe" feel that Disneyland itself does, I think. Also, the Beach Boys Muzak was a little disconcerting. O.o

i've always felt that what California Adventure is missing is a reason to exist.

Dammit! That instrumental "California Girls" was stuck in my head for weeks after I went in May, and I'm sure you have now put it back in there!

Do you have pictures? Did you go on the Peter Pan ride? That and the Monster Mash cafe were my favourite. Holy crap I want to go back!

Oh wait ... I keep forgetting it's the Californian one, not the Florida one. Does the California one have those things?
