Actually I haven't yet decided if I'm really going to apply for it. Moving to Toronto would be a pain in the rear, plus there's the ugly commute until we did move (York U is kind of on the far side of Toronto), especially considering the ugly 8:30 AM start time. On the other hand, on that salary we could afford the higher living expenses there, and it's the only job posting I've seen so far that I think I'm actually kind of qualified for (although not a perfect match by any means) that isn't also a huge pay cut (a slight one, considering the exchange, but it's approximately equivalent to what I was paid at De Anza).
P.S. Rejected by OpenText for Technical Writer and by RIM for Editor (no surprises). Nothing specific back from RIM on Technical Writer so I don't know if that means I'm (bizarrely) being considered, or if one rejection notice was supposed to stand for both. Told I was too late applying to be considered by Waterloo Public Library (which is true, but I thought I'd try anyway). Haven't heard from Kitchener Public Library. Also haven't heard from Cambridge Public Library but I wasn't exactly expecting to, since they have no specific job postings on the site, but just say "send us your resume at any time and we'll contact you if something opens".
