Ye gods and little fishies, the Doubletree is already taking reservations for next year's PCon (Feb 18-21, 2011). Might want to get on it, folks, if you want a hotel room. On the website it claims these dates are unavailable, so you might want to call the hotel instead (408-453-4000).

Yeah, I still owe a con report post. But then, when I went to look up last year's so I could refer to something I thought I'd said, I discovered that I never made any such post. So don't hold your breath. (Although I do still have the sections pertaining to PCon 2009 ripped out of the notebook I was carrying around then, which has since been used up and therefore replaced.)

I heard a rumor that P-con was moving to another hotel next year, so I guess not? Have you heard anything official about P-con next year?

They were polling a few years ago asking if people would mind moving, but I think the Presidents Day weekend was already taken at the venue they were considering (was it the Santa Clara convention center? I forget) and perhaps importance of the date won out in the end.

I have not heard anything different but the Doubletree did take my reservation with the con rate, so I can only assume it is definitely taking place there next year.

Yeah...several of us made our reservations a week ago and just called again today to have the rate applied. Stupid crazy *sigh* Can haz new hotel nao plz?

I know, we've totally outgrown it. But I guess date won out over space on that poll that was going around a few years ago about moving to the Santa Clara convention center (I think it was).
