Not, I suppose, that anyone would take such comments very seriously, just like with the FCC. But.

Some of these are worrisome, but there will be no drilling offshore of CA, since CA (like all states) controls is near coastal waters, and has a law that no oil pipes can be built there, so getting oil to shore would be very far from cheap or easy. I'm also not at all sure there's much of the coast of OR or WA, and we could pass similar laws. OTOH, Alaska is worrisome.

North Carolina's Attorney General, I believe, has come out against this. Surprising to me at first, but then I realized they have a lot of coastal tourism.
