I'm considering doing a little pruning of my friends list. This isn't anything personal against anyone, but there are some people whose entries I just never seem interested in because I don't know anything about anything they're referring to. I read them and go "huh?" and don't come away with a sense of having made a worthwhile read, even though I like the people in question (hence "friends", neh?). So if yours gets cut from the list, don't think it's because I hate you or something, kay?

Ah, looks like we missed out (well, I assume, since things at the Pound tend to be on Saturdays). We've both been kind of congested and cranky anyway. I don't think we'll be coming to your movie thing tomorrow.

Clicking the link didn't much clarify (partly because I'm impatient with slow web pages, hehehe) - whodaheck are the Impotent Sea Snakes?

It's tomorrow night instead of the movie thing. We decided to move the movie thing to the 23rd.

The Impotent Sea Snakes are a sorta weird band and performance thing.

Say hi to your boi for me.

hmm guess i'll have to be more coherient or something when i type. But for the most part i write lj's for myself and it is great to have a community in which people respond but sometimes...i just write it for me so i can look back and reflect but then again that is alittle selfish, i will put in abit more time.

Nah, see, I have a vague clue at least what the people and places you refer to are... that was the main thing that was going here. I took stock of the people's journals I'm actually interested in reading because I can understand them (even if I can't always understand them), versus those which always leave me going "gee, I wish I had a damn clue what they were talking about." That was all.

sorry ....

I found your posts interesting ... but in order to have access to my journal, its a requirement you have a mutual-friends access since I discuss things in my journal not for public-consumption. Therefore from darkleaves, I had to remove you since you removed me ... but I'll add you to my public- (non-personal journal version) called techno-gypsy.

Blessings to you,
hope your move to Canada goes well.

Oh, I know. See, the thing about yours is that it's all you talking about things that happen with people I don't even know via the net in places I have never even heard of outside the confines of your journal, so for me it's like watching a television show where I missed the first three seasons and thus have none of the backstory.. that's all.

there's actually another option that I use that is really cool. you know how you can make special customized lists of friends for specific kinds of posts? (click the...after the word "friends") make one called "default view" and put on it only the people whose journals you want to regularly read. the other people remain your frinds, but don't sjhow up when you go to read the friends list. If someone other than you looks at your friends list, everyone shows up. And you don't have to worry about defriending someone, and you can add their journal back into your reading list really easily.

No worries. Even with friends who have known me for years and my lady who knows more about me than anyone, some things are always confusing. Especially lately. (Thank you, by the way, for having this to explain it.)

Sorry I'll miss out on any protected entries, but I will still read. :-)

Not likely to be a problem, as I haven't made one yet in the time I've had this journal. If I did the only thing I can envision making it private to is myself only. Either my-eyes-only, or I don't think I care who reads it. Maybe I just haven't been here long enough to acquire lj-harrassers, heh. (I think it's rather because I'm pretty low profile... nobody knows me.)
