This is soooooo much a thing that made me go *ping*, that I think it bears repeating just so I can say that I said it. (By way of gremliness.)

I will associate with pretty much anyone;
will side with no one against anyone else unless I'm very directly/personally involved;
am always willing to communicate with anyone who is willing to communicate with me;
do not always argue points I believe in, unless I also believe in whatever is likely to result from arguing them;
refuse to be offended on anyone else's behalf by anything that wouldn't offend me on my own;
remain friends with all sorts of people who really shouldn't be in the same room with each other.

smart lady, almost everybody has at one time or another had conflicts with someone else. If you mind me adding you to my Friends, let me know. You seem like a cool person with a number of similar interests to me.
