I bought my first carton of liquid chai concentrate today, despite temptation on numerous occasions after having first been fed it by tiggrrl a number of years ago, and enjoying prepared "chai lattes" from coffee shops and pale-stroke-interesting concoctions derived from "chai tea" in bags or loose, combined with copious amounts of milk, in the intervening years.

This is going to be an expensive addiction, especially if I combine it with soy milk like she did.

Makin' Chai

To possibly cut your expenses....

Chai mix:
2 parts ginger
2 parts nutmeg
1 part cinnamon

Brew double-strength black tea with spices, strain, cut with equal amount of milk (or soy). Sweeten to taste.

Yah, I'm aware of just making it that way, and have done, but somehow the flavour's just not the same. And chai without cardamom? Yer crazy!
