I had a couple of CDs burned op backups of MP3s I no longer wanted to keep. The dye used in them was such a pretty pthalo-like blue that I thought they would make neat decorations or something. So I drew sevenstars on them, one with the lines connecting over the clear plastic in the centre, and one where they didn't (giving more the appearance of a sunburst around the hole). They looked pretty just sitting on my bedside altar reflecting candlelight, next to my black mirror and holographic silver card-things. But when I chanced to pick one up in each hand, it was kind of interesting. There was a sort of energy flow, especially when I held them so that the blue/star surfaces of the discs were face to face. Like it would be interesting to charge something by putting it in between them. Facing them both forwards or sort of out to the sides while having arms down was interesting too. It was stronger when I had the "open" one in my right hand and the "closed" one in my left, like one was a collector and the other a projector (I don't always follow the standard "dominant hand projects", but it happens that way 60-75% of the time, I would estimate).

I say "shadows of technomagic" because this is kind of a weak spin on it, just happening to use technological trappings and being rather an accident, but there could be interesting variations. For example, designing CD label specially for whatever purpose you intend to use the end product for (e.g., purifying something, healing, just being a power battery, etc), perhaps with a sigil. Burning appropriate music or text or graphics as data on the CD. Whether or not you write something on the data surface (as I did) or not. (Of course that renders it unreadable, but that's an interesting kind of "sealing" act.)

I never thought of using the CDs themselves in that way. That's cool!
