Appointment for special fancy medical exam has been made, Wednesday after next at 11:15 am (yay for not having to drive to the city in commute traffic). Apparently it takes 3-4 hours to complete everything and costs about $400. I was actually expecting something worse than that, since I'm not only having special work done, I'm not even a patient and have no insurance WRT that particular doctor. I have to go to San Francisco, as mentioned, but I should feel lucky. All the designated practitioners for this exam are either in the Bay area (two in SF, one in Berkeley, one in Mountain View who didn't answer the phone) or in SoCal (three in LA, two in San Diego). And at least there's that many - pity Coloradans, who all have to go to Denver, or Montanans, where there are none in the state.
So. Yeah. Need to work on getting my copies "certified" if I can, and get two more passport photos before I go. (WTF are they using all these pictures for? I sent them four with the application. One of them was stapled to the form I have to take to the doctor. And I have to bring two more with me, presumably to eventually arrive back at CIC?)
This is a busy few weeks for me in medical terms. I had a physician appointment today, I need to go back in to the lab for routine blood tests at any point I care to, I go to the optometrist on the 4th, have this thing on the 5th, and then I have a dentist appointment on the 19th. And I still need to work in a haircut somewhere. Bleh.
