1) What is the wildest weather/natural disaster you've ever lived through?
Probably the 1989 earthquake. I recall standing in the doorway between the kitchen and dining room and sticking out an arm to try to hold up the 40-gallon fish tank which used to be right there.
2) What natural disaster stands out in your mind as the worst in your lifetime and why?
Same, not because of anything that happened in my area, but because of the whole "upper deck of Cypress structure (piece of freeway) collapsing onto lower deck and squishing some cars and people" thing.
3) What's your favorite sort of dramatic weather?
I don't like "dramatic" weather very much. I think I've mostly gotten over my fear of thunderstorms, but that's not to say that I actually like them. Heavy rain is all right, but I wouldn't say it was a "favourite". Nor do I like high winds. We don't get snow here so I can't really say what I would think about a blizzard.
4) What do you like the least about your particular environment, weather-wise?
Least? Hm... it's hard not to like the weather where I am. There's a reason this is one of the densest population centres in the world. Maybe the long summers and short autumns. That is to say, the summer tends to drag on a bit, since it usually takes up about six months of the year.
5) If you had to choose between a climate that was too hot half the year or too cold, which would it be?
Too cold. I find it easier to get warm than to cool off.
