To whom it may concern:

I have bested the weather and arrived home safely. Actually. the worst of it was within Sacramento itself, and it really lightened up a lot past Fairfield except for a few hairy spots around Concord. I made good time, all things considered.

Glad to hear it!

Waaaugh! You passed through Sacto and I didn't even know? I would have been happy to have you swing by out here in Grass Valley if I'd known. (About an hour detour, but a lot closer than usual.)

BTW, how'd the gather go? Sorry to have missed it.

I wasn't really passing through, I was at a party at [livejournal.com profile] tiggrrl and [livejournal.com profile] the_misha's house. I went there on Saturday afternoon and spent the night, and then went home on Sunday. I left at the time I did because there was a momentary break in the weather that let me get to my car without getting soaked. I don't think I would have been prepared to go up to Grass Valley afterwards and then turn around and come home, not least because it would likely have meant coming home in the rain and the dark which is even less fun. (I read in the Mercury today that there were two SUV rollovers on 80 and 680 on Saturday alone. I'm sure there were more accidents than that. uck.)

Re: gather, I made a post about it right after it happened. http://tass.livejournal.com/456591.html
