What film won the "Best Picture" Oscar the year you were born? Have you seen it? If so, what did you think of it?

For me, this is The Deer Hunter.

I ain't never heard of this flick, even though it got a number of other Oscars that year.

Midnight Cowboy

Dustin Hoffman & John Voigt.
Only X rated movie to ever win Best Picture (it was reclassified R later as the codes were realigned, apparently)

and if i'm not mistaken, parts of it were filmed on Cleveland's near west side, what has since become the closest to an art district we have. Or am i thinking of something else?

For me, that would be The Godfather Part II.

Strangely enough, I haven't seen that flick. I've heard its good. :)
