What seems to be every crow on campus (seriously, at least a dozen and a half) have gathered in the tops of the trees just outside my door and they are making quite an astonishing racket. It's like some kind of corvid debate session or something. They've been doing it for at least half an hour. (I guess whatever it is is not something easily resolved.) Maybe someone needs to read them Robert's Rules.

Corvids are well-known for doing that.

What's even weirder is that they will sometimes all get together and listen to ONE crow, like he or she is giving a lecture or something.

I've seen that happen with about a half dozen ravens, and it really *does* seem like they're having a discussion/debate.

I've seen that before too. In England, such a gathering is called a "Parliament", and it certainly looks as though that's what they're doing.
