Scientists turn blood into biscuits and chocolate

And yogurt, apparently, from the plasma. This is cow blood, by the way, not human blood. I am not normally squeamish about this sort of thing but somehow the idea of yogurt cultured from cow plasma is just gross.

At one point in the past Ox blood was used as a clarifier for wine (it helped remove the cloudy/hazy yeast residue). Normally stuff like this doesn't bother me but blood in wine yuck.
