My current combination of mailing lists, livejournal communities, and message boards is not keeping me occupied enough. I only get trickles of email and I keep checking the boards and lj in vain for new posts. So tell me, where should I be reading and possibly posting? (Personal journal recs also welcome.) Comment with a suggestion. Recs for content-rich fora of mystical or fantastical nature especially appreciated. You might want to take a gander at my interests list first, and please note that I am almost entirely uninterested in politics and "current events" type things.

I am already a member of the following communities, lists, and boards:

Ooh! A bunch of faerie communities! *yoink*
...
Oh. I suppose that wasn't very helpful of me, was it?

It would be from someone skilled at lashing, right? I've been lashed before and wasn't at all impressed by the lasher.

Uh, I'm sure I could scare someone up. I was thinking "with a wet noodle", which is the standard punishment, but I suppose something involving a flogger and a figure-eight pattern could be worked out...

*shrugs* I'm just one of those 'bad faeries' that you scare Wiccans with. Feel free to ignore me when convenient.

Are you insinuating that I scare Wiccans?

Yes. Are you insinuating you don't? Because if that's the case, I suggest you try it.

WitchesWithBrains isn't limited to people in its local geography, even though it began as a local list. High-volume; fairly intellectual discussion--while it might not be what you're looking for, the people there can probably refer you to other good lists.

Well, I'm flattered you seem to think I have a brain. ;)

Also, I'm planning on filling out the intro form; is it ok if I reference you as livejournal-elfwreck as the person who directed me there, or is there some other name I should call you (or would you even prefer to not be mentioned at all)?

I'm there as elfwreck; mentioning me is fine. I think WWB was started by people from the old (now gone) witchwars list, which sort-of came back in witch_wars2... but that's all politics and snark and only the occasional discussion of actual spiritual content.

I recently switched from one email to another (one elfwreck email to another... I stick to one name as much as I can online) and changed from digest to single messages, but haven't started getting them yet.

So I know the general group tone, but nothing about recent conversations.

[livejournal.com profile] ptherkin is a community for Otherkin folks who like to make fun of themselves and 'Kin-ness in general. I find it quite humorous.

I don't know whether this would be of interest to you (haven't noticed from your LJ that you identify with angelics), but the angelkin list on Yahoo! is quite active. For the last couple of weeks they've been discussing reasons to fall.

But overall, you've suggested more lists that I should check out. :)
