holidays

While browsing some general information on the Buffalo consulate's site (vaguely considering trying to fax a status request), I found their holiday schedule. They take both Canadian and US holidays: both Thanksgivings, both Independence Day and Canada Day, both Boxing Day and Presidents' Day (ok, those aren't next to each other), Good Friday (which is generally no longer a given work holiday in the US) and Memorial Day (but curiously, not Victoria Day). Talk about having your cake and eating it too. Are they Canada? Are they the US? Who knows! (They're some other planet, for the length of time it takes for messages to reach them and be replied to...)

I still have your check. They're good for six months from the date, I think. If you have the money in your checking acct I should just be able to go deposit it and all will be well.
