arethinn: glowing green spiral (sparkly faerie (general))
I'm doing this without actually having asked it of anyone else (these particular words from [livejournal.com profile] oakleaves). Neeeeed inpuuuuut!

Scan my interest list. List any that seem odd to you. I'll explain it. Then you post this in your journal so other people can ask you about your interests.

Heheh, you picked the unique one (at least it was still unique the last time I checked).

"Wyllt" is a Welsh word somewhat like the Irish "geilt" (as in Suibhne Geilt), that is, wild and mad. See for example The Story of Myrddin Wyllt (http://www.ancienttexts.org/library/celtic/ctexts/myrddin.html).

Cities as creatures?

Date: Jan. 22nd, 2005 03:17 am (UTC)From: [identity profile] starlightforest.livejournal.com
The idea that a city is a living thing unto itself, with perhaps an indwelling spirit of its own (not to mention the smaller ones of buildings within it).

...angus oblong?

Creepy Susie and 13 Other Tragic Tales for Troubled Children, on which the short-lived (but much-rerun on Adult Swim) TV show The Oblongs was based. Has that kind of childish-yet-twisted aesthetic like Tim Burton or Lemony Snicket. See http://www.angusoblong.net.
