Cicadas are friggin' loud. Or at least they were at Thresholds last year, when they finally bored their way out of the trees after 17 years or whatever it is is their deal.
Frogs are neat. We had lots of frogs near one of my apartments in Sacramento because there was an artificial (?) creek in the landscaping of the complex. They sure made a racket. You get used to it tho. (These weren't tree frogs, but they weren't bull frogs either, who are FUCKING NOISY. erg.)
