search gripe

Argh. Region search would be so much more useful if I could just add ONE interest. I imagine the reason you can't use more than one search criteria at a time (I know a lot of people, myself included, have especially wished for "two interests" searches) is probably resource load, but it's still annoying. Also annoying is that the name search does ONLY full-word, rather than that being an option. That is, if I search for "faerie", I get only faerie, not every user with that sequence of letters in their name. That kind of result is useful if you want to see if a name is used, I guess (although trying http://www.livejournal.com/users/[whateverusername] works just as well), but doesn't really help in the "find journals that may be interesting and/or may be X type of person" department.

How long have you been interested in otherkin/shapeshifting stuff?

I "awakened" (to use the term loosely) in the spring/early summer of 1998 and had had a more vague interest in people calling themselves "elves" since the winter before that.

Do you have AIM?

I do but I only use it to talk to my fiance enotsola unless there is some really, really pressing practical reason that I need to chat with someone. Other than that I'm really shy and don't like to chat (I prefer message boards, LJ, email).
