Bush on the property line between our house and our neighbours'; this one attracts hummingbirds, one of which I saw on Sunday:





There's a bunch of these trees planted ornamentally around here, and they're all flowering (also from a car window, hence the lines, which are the rear defogger):



It's spring around here, all right.

The bush is flowering quince, which means that if it makes fruit in the Fall, you can make yummy quince things.

The one with pink flowers? It doesn't fruit. Does that mean it's the male of the species, or a sterilized ornamental?
