A number of people lately have been posting that they feel something "off" or "wrong" lately, anywhere from just today to the past several weeks or more.

I would like to propose consideration of the idea that perhaps what you feel is not "wrong" in its essence, but just "off" compared to where things are at the moment? Or maybe just discomfort because it is something we are not used to, like a stretchy-hurt of the intuitive senses?

See for example http://community.livejournal.com/starseeds_dna/141946.html. Probably awfully New-Agey for many of your tastes (heck, even for my taste, although like an odor, your sensors get accustomed to it and you stop "smelling" it), but hang in there and get the gist.

On the other hand, I am kind of curious about the recent wildfires in Texas and unexpected (?) tornadoes in Missouri and Illinois. In any case, Very Weird weather and things are going on all over, but it feels to me more like "wobbly, out of balance at the moment" than "ew ew totally wrong" (though I could easily be wrong about that, since I am generally not the intuitive sort).

As an agnostic/atheist skeptic, I gotta say that post (in the linked comm) nearly pained me while reading it.

Also, March is the time when one full-well expects tornadoes in Illinois and Missouri (speaking as a native of Illinois). Once spring comes with her thunderstorms, one starts battening down hatches and whatnot and expects at least a few tornadoes from March until Septemberish.

Also, this winter (http://www.tamu.edu/tamunews/News/stories/05/121605news-5.html) in Texas was a dry one. Dry, dead brush makes for pretty good kindling.

Re: tornadoes: OK. Never having lived in the Midwest I am not full aware of their usual weather patterns. For some reason I thought they were a feature of summer weather, like thundertorms.

Re: wildfires: well duh, like we don't get plenty of that going on in California. Our long, dry summers mean there are many parks where you can't have campfires from April or May through November, for example. It was just the timing of this particular event popping up with the tornadoes and everything that was kind of an interesting pattern.
