I've run into stuff like this before, once even in person, and while the details are usually vastly different from one to the next, the overall tone is remarkably similar from one of these nutcases to the next.
That totally needs to be literaled: guy with gargoyle ... dead girl with cobwebs.. guy with strobe pretending it's lightning, pretending it's lightning...
