[personal profile] enotsola points out that one can now buy a terabyte hard drive for ~US$70-80. Sooo... basically you could store all of Geocities for a few bucks.

It wasn't the filesize, it was the bandwidth. Server *activity* was the issue, not the amount of hard drive space it took up.

(I agree that it sucked, and still sucks.)
