Has anyone out there, perchance, seen even part of Get Lamp? Do you think it's worth $45? It is, er, relevant to my interests, but I don't know if I want to pay that even for 2 DVDs and a collectible coin. (And understandably, but sadly for me, the coin's text seems to be from ADVENT and not Zork.)

I saw over half of it (I missed the beginning) at Readercon a couple of years ago, and I enjoyed it enough to want to buy copies for several of my friends, if only I had the money to do so. The production values are high, it's engaging and full of interesting and geeky people, and it tells a compelling story. The enthusiasm of the gamers and game creators for the genre really comes through in the film. I'd be willing to watch it multiple times, and to share it widely with my gamer friends. $40 plus shipping seems a bit pricey in comparison to other films on DVD, so I understand your hesitation to order it. But I thought it was quite good, and if I had the money to spare, I'd consider ordering it for myself.
