Snoop Penguin says:
Yay free birth control for women
But this is the third biggest attack on the US in history
according to republicans.

exploot says:
....
attack on the US?

Snoop Penguin says:
Literally, one of the republicans fight it said something along the lines of "Pearl Harbour, 9/11, giving women birth control"
I wish I was fucking kidding
but, of course, there's no war on women

exploot says:
wtf???

Snoop Penguin says:

exploot says:
no, i believe you
i just.. i cannot understand that logic at all
"oh my god, women have to get pregnant as much as possible or it's WAR ON AMERICA"??
and the verb "giving" is bothering me here
cos it's, you know
you only get what we give you
and what we ought to be giving you is SPERM

Wow... just... wow.

Oh, I love this:

"Rep. Ben Quayle (R-Ariz.). 'This coercion by taxation that this president seems to like must stop and it must come to end now.'"

Yeah, funny thing--lots of people were "coered by taxation" into supporting Bush's wars, were you complaining then?

What the fuck are these people smoking? It isn't pot, that's for sure... But I want to know so I can steer the hell clear of their delusion of reality where allowing a woman to have access to birth control IF SHE WANTS IT, if that falls in line with her OWN beliefs, values, and physical needs, is some kind of attack on a man's freedom to make her pregnant whether or not she wants that.

I mean seriously.... just... words do not even. Nothing. There are none. This is way beyond ridiculous.

Sometimes shit like this reminds me why, despite being loosely Christian myself in terms of belief systems, I mentally refer to these people as the American Taliban....

I believe they consider the abridgement of 1st amendment rights to be an attack, not women getting birth control. Women have been able to get birth control for a long time, and no one said anything. The issue at this juncture is that the catholic Organisations are being FORCED to in disagreement with their religious beliefs.

""Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof...."

A lot of people see this as prohibiting free exercise and as a blatant attack on constitutional rights.
