Did anything ever come of TurtleSeed? I had an account for a while and joined some "clans", but I decided I probably wasn't the target audience and deleted my account, oh, at least a year ago now I'd guess.
A service a little like Twitter in that it supported only really short posts, and also the default setting was that posts would disappear after 3 days. As you can probably guess from the minimalist layout, it's very simple - the clans don't do threaded conversations or anything like that, it's more like you're watching a feed of the posts made to it, which are likely to drop off the face of the internet in a few days unless the user sets otherwise.
I was a member of a few of the clans listed here but I really didn't need it for its general use case (same as I don't have a Twitter account) and, um, let's say I mostly didn't fit in with the crowd I encountered.
Yeah; cf. my response to premchaia_pre4. I just wondered if it actually had kept active or anything, since you can't see any of it without actually being a member.
I think I checked on things a while after I signed up to see how things were before I deleted my account there. If I recall correctly, at least one or two were gone and the rest had zero activity.
