design idea... ankle length a-line skirt, black cotton or similar, reflective tape in lines from waist to floor, would form "sunburst" pattern seen from above in circular formation. perhaps graduated rays?

Just got pretty Jessica Galbreth calendar in the mail today. It's titled "A Little Night Magick". I'm pretty sure this is meant to take off on "A Little Night Music", but is that the name of the whole play, or just the name of a song? And was it Stephen Sondheim? I know bloody well I knew this in high school, but I can't remember it now. (And asking you lot is so much more entertaining than just going and looking it up on the boring old web.)

Reading this...

tass: i really like the last line [of the article]
tass: but heck
tass: i'd pay $50-$100 for an annual license to download whatever
[livejournal.com profile] enotsola: that is a good line, yet..
tass: i'm sure most people would
[livejournal.com profile] enotsola: err, yes
[livejournal.com profile] enotsola: I probably would
tass: since with your bandwidth...
tass: you'd get um...
tass: well, thousands of dollars worth.
tass: heh.
tass: and yet
tass: that's "thousands of dollars worth" in the current model. i mean, it costs a lot more to produce and market a physical CD than it does to serve 5 megabytes.
tass: so maybe
tass: you'd only get hundreds of dollars worth.
[livejournal.com profile] enotsola: *nods* still though..
tass: surely you'd get some dedicated "abusers"
tass: but most people would only get as much as they'd really paid for
[livejournal.com profile] enotsola: they'd be making more on it than they are now
tass: definitely true
tass: a per-year membership to.. whatever.. an online version of BMG or Columbia House.. (except less invasive) would prolly be VERY effective
tass: heck
tass: i'd pay for that.
tass: part of the reason being...
tass: i'd be guaranteed the files were perfect
tass: and on my bandwidth, that matters, in terms of wasting my time downloading
tass: and in the US, where not everyone has broadband and what there is gets more impacted with every new subscriber.. that matters
tass: unlike you lucky canucks :-P

My dad's watching Three's Company right now. Seems a little morbid to me. At least he's not listening to Johnny Cash while he does so.

Then again *hand-staple-forehead*, I really ought to appreciate morbidity.
