Feb. 19th, 2004 04:43 pmTo Whom it May Concern:
I would like to have an uninterrupted night of sleep, please. I haven't had one in over a week, for various reasons. I don't mind waking up fifteen minutes before my alarm and then dozing until it goes off (in fact, that helps ease the shock), but waking up at 6:00 and 8:00 and 9:30 has got to stop.

that ridiculous playlist meme
Feb. 19th, 2004 10:19 pmOk, here's my um... twenty-one.. sure... because I like seven, but just seven wouldn't be enough.
1. R.E.M. - Drive
2. The Cure - The Walk (Everything mix)
3. I Am Robot and Proud - Saturday Afternoon Plans
4. The Cure - A Night Like This
5. Men Without Hats - The Safety Dance (remix)
6. The Last Dance - Inside (Kane edit)
7. Moxy Fruvous - King of Spain (someone out there must know - over which vowels exactly do the umlauts in that name go?)
8. Emerald Rose - Padstow
9. Elven - A Raindrop for Every Tear
10. Green Day - In the End
11. The Cure - Plainsong (I once did a painting by that name. in fact, it was the only painting I ever did that I would say was directly related to
enotsola.)
12. Seabound - Hooked
13. Rosetta Stone - Nothing
14. Stereoskill - A Clue
15. Viridian Green - Springs
16. S.P.O.C.K. - Dr McCoy
17. Brand New Idol - Someone Else's Eyes
18. Offspring - Why Don't You Get a Job?
19. Substructure - Electronik
20. The Cure - Numb
21. Andy Lindsay - Green Insider
Weird Al is massively underrepresented here by not turning up at all, yet I have a lot of him in my playlist, at least a third as much as I do of The Cure, which I think is a little overrepresented. Deep house is a little underrepresented. But otherwise, not a bad sampling. I don't feel too embarrassed, heh.

yaoi:
[A piece of art] Inspired by the poem "The Erlking" By Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
"Ich liebe dich, mich reizt deine schone Gastalt,
und bist du nicht willig, so brauch' ich Gewalt."
"I love you, your beautiful form delights me!
And if you're not willing, then I'll use force."
(btw the theme of the artwork, which was for a contest, was basically "slavery/bondage")
...Sounds interesting! *lopes off to look up said poem*

Feb. 19th, 2004 11:42 pmI shouldn't have said a goddamn thing. My scanner has decided to randomly cease working (or Photoshop has decided to randomly cease thinking it's got a valid TWAIN entry). Thought, the only thing I changed since it was working last night or so was to install latest Zone Alarm; they must be conflicting in some weird way. Try to re-install older version. Won't let me; says I have to uninstall it and lose all settings. Ok, let's try uninstalling and reinstalling scanner. No dice. Uninstall Zone Alarm completely. Still doesn't work. Give up on troubleshooting more tonight. Reinstall latest Zone Alarm. Worry.
