I'm sure many of you are familiar with the "answer these questions/descriptions using only song titles from a band you like" thing. I did it myself in May 2003. At the time, I said this:

The sort of squiggly almost-wings, kind-of-radiance behind the two "sidhe" type figures was a pretty common theme for me then (ca. late 1999). I wish I knew what happened to the drawings of Michael, Uriel, Raphael and Gabriel that I had done in this style (and in appropriate elemental colours, in a magickal sense).

a name thought

(I swear I have got more posts on this than on any other topic.. :P )

I want my name to be something that it makes me happy to be signing at the end of an email. Something I can look at and go "heheh, I still like how cool that sounds" or something. I want a name that makes me feel like a somebody.

I like walnuts. They look like brains. braaaaaaaaaaaains. (plus they are apparently good for heart/cholesterol kinds of things, along with red wine and dark chocolate.)

charitable contributions

(no, not in relation to taxes. I don't make enough for "itemized deductions" to make any sense.)

Since making the mistake of sending a traceable contribution to a charity gets you on their mailing list forever (e.g., NOW) as well as netting you tons of mail from related organizations and even seemingly unrelated ones, I had the idea that it might be nice to send anonymous cash to charities whose mailing lists I don't really want to be on, but whose causes I support. But are they able to actually do anything with any $20 bill I would send in their reply envelopes, or does it not "count" because of the tax laws regarding non-profits? I mean, do they have to spend it on lunch rather than adding it to the overall revenue because of its undocumentable source, or what?
