Well, actually I can't read German, but the cover art is so much better than what we have in the US, I think. They beat the the UK children's editions, though, which I think are horrid. I dunno where to get my hands on any of the adult editions.

I AM UNTHRILLED AT GETTING THE DAMN SNAP PREVIEWS EVEN THOUGH I HAVE EXPLICITLY TURNED THEM OFF. I know I did it before but I thought hey, maybe it got turned on again in the latest code push and no, lo and behold, THE CHECKBOX FOR THAT IS EVEN EMPTY AND I AM STILL GETTING THEM. In other words MY SETTING IS BEING IGNORED. thanksalot.

I can't imagine why anyone ever thought this was a good idea, period, for any website ever. I hope they go to hell and die.

You can enable or disable these preview images within your journal at the Viewing Options page. To stop seeing these preview images, click on "Options" in the upper-right corner of any preview. You can then choose to disable previews on "THIS Site" (throughout LiveJournal) or "All Sites" (all websites).

Funny, that setting seemed to affect everything on LJ before. Even if I have misunderstood something about its functioning then or now, IMO that is Right way. I shouldn't have to succumb to it in order to turn it off. Also, this sounds like it is accomplished by a cookie from Snap (how else can this affect "all websites"?) which would mean I have to do it on EVERY COMPUTER I USE which is Wrong. (Not that I won't have to do that anyway, but I mean, it should be an LJ-contained account setting, so I set it once and it holds no matter where I log in.) And you people who delete all your private info every session? Sorry, you'll have to turn it off every time. WTF?
