Aside from a minor breakdown Sunday night, good time was had this weekend. But between significant quantities of alcohol, partying, the general energetic weirdness that is kin gathers, poor sleep from sleeping on the floor and being awakened at about 8 or 8:30 two days out of three by being trampled and nosed by two large dogs, driving home this morning, and now menstrual cramps on top of all of it, I am about out of spoons for today (...and I've just started at work, joy).

Getting into Harry Potter fandom has seriously overloaded my reading time. I am spending way too many hours on the internet every day. It used to be that morning time, at least, was sacrosanct, free of the degenerate touch of packets. But now I often find myself at 11 AM wanting to catch up on comment notifications from LJ that have arrived in only the past eight hours since I switched off the computer.

Something's gotta give.

I think probably the first casualty is going to be some message boards I find less than fulfilling -- but then, the fact that I do so already means that I hardly read any posts on them at all, and it doesn't take that much time to check them and close their tabs.

HijiNKS ENSUE; typo of the day

Oooh, I've found a new webcomic to love, and hug and squeeze and call it George: HijiNKS ENSUE.

Contains such wonderfulness as: "Geeksplosion: Marty McFly and Wesley Crusher, rogue Jedi on the run from the Pan-Galactic Trade Consortium, are being pursued relentlessly by evil bounty hunters, Agent Smith and the Terminator. They must rely on their only allies, Ash and Tom Servo, if they are to save Fantasia from the Nothing!" (I would totally watch that movie if it existed.) Contains also Fifth Element, Venture Bros., Serenity, Harry Potter, console games, MMORPGs... you get the idea. *squee*

Also, in a post in the comic's blog from June, re. PotC 3:

"Jack is damned for what seemed like an eternity to captain the Black Rock Pearl on an ocean of desert salt crewed entirely by copies of himself. Johnny Depp with 40 other Johnny Depps. You know he’d hit that. Unwashed dopple-johnny (depp-ganger?) orgies would abound."

I think it should be "Deppleganger", which reeks of "typo of the day" to me:
