D.A.S.B.

DeAnza. Associated. Student. Body.

Not "DSAB", FFS.

Why is this so hard for people to remember? And when I say "people", I mean my own student employees, who have to ask people for their DASB cards all the time and ought to know better.

Okay doods, help requested. Rec me some blogs that are good for general examples of what they look like, what you can do with them, what they can be about. (Yes, I know: anything. But this is for an "introduction to blogging and how to set up your own" class.) I thought I could mine my RSS list for candidates, but it turns out I mostly subscribe to webcomic feeds, fanfiction, library blogs (almost good, but a little too specific), and some pagan and faery stuff, none of which are really suitable for this application. (Hmm... turning a roomful of middle-aged, culturally vanilla techno-greenies into Harry Potter slash fans...? naaahhhh.)

ETA: What I am going for is to have examples of various types... e.g. here's a personal blog, here's a tech information blog, here's a news blog, here's a blog on some other topic... maybe I will include one of the library ones.
