Two nights of elderberry extract, echinacea-goldenseal-someotherstuff pills, tea, fire, and a warm Macbook in my lap (yay for long Ethernet cables; its AirPort can't hear Metrofi either, even at the extremity of the dining room closest to the transmitter without actually going outside) seem to have beaten the pathetic cold that dared to think it could get hold of my mucous membranes.
I have a seriously good record this year, for whatever reason. I was actually sick in February (at a time when I was doing job interviews yey), but have managed to beat everything else since then in under 72 hours. Since I work in a job that involves lots of touching objects that other people have touched, this is actually fairly impressive. The last time I worked here I got sick about four times a year.
Hand sanitizing gel. It works, people. And don't share drinking vessels. That's how I got sick in February, and I speculate it might have been where I got it this time (although the sake was quite good).
