arethinn: animated Weird Al Yankovic with text "R O T F L O L" (amused (weird al rotflol))
I'm amused (although not surprised, I guess) at how fast this quiz appeared. In fact, I may even be behind the times in only coming across it just now. I'm also amused by my percentage result (does it score me extra nerd points?).

You are 42% white and nerdy.
How White and Nerdy Are You?

Unfortunately, that was the best song on the album and most of the rest of it left me rather nonplussed. I loves me some Weird Al, but I haven't kept up with pop music at all, so I'm entirely unfamiliar with all the songs he's parodying, and since they all sound the same, so do all the parodies. "Straight Outta Lynwood" is better than "Poodle Hat", but they're just not grabbing me anymore like "Off the Deep End" and "Running With Scissors".

I dug the disc for the videos - some really good animation on there. And I'm a little surprised that you of all people don't have more love for Canadian Idiot. ;)

Also, check out the You're Pitiful download on his site - would have made the album a lot stronger if the label hadn't been a bitch about it.

Also, for the record, I'm 46%.

It probably does help if you've kept up with pop music if you listen to Weird Al. :) The Usher ("Confessions Part III") and R. Kelly ("Trapped in a Drive-Thru") parodies were great, in part because the original songs were incredibly melodramatic to the point of silliness.
