Something about seeing today's APOD reminded me that I was dreaming about stars this morning. Sirius. Regulus. (no, no, I really mean the masses of incandescent gas that are millions of miles away, you sillies.) Vega. Constellation Aquila. Pleiades. Constellation Orion. Canopus. (odd, that -- not a star that is usually in my consciousness.) Constellations Leo and Scorpio. Things were... rearranged. Closer. Alive, hearable (moreso than the high, cold song I often hear anyway, especially in the winter). The sky was not so dark but the stars were as bright as ever.
It's curious the way I will forget dreams on waking, and then something I see, hear, or smell later in the day will suddenly trigger memory. The sensation (and there is a physical reaction to it, a kind of ... vertigo?) is very odd.
